Steam has apparently decided to abolish free time this weekend. Six games are available to try at no cost, ranging from firefighting and space survival to the refined art of dismantling monsters.
The current Free Weekends are Firefighting Simulator: Ignite, ICARUS, METAL GEAR SOLID - Master Collection Version, Killing Floor 3, Unrailed 2: Back on Track, and Wild Assault / 兽猎突袭.
Firefighting Simulator: Ignite lets you extinguish fires, rescue people, and finally drive around with blue lights without receiving uncomfortable mail afterward. ICARUS drops you into the wilderness, where oxygen, weather, and probably your own construction choices all try to kill you.
METAL GEAR SOLID delivers a genuine stealth classic: remain unseen, sit dramatically inside cardboard boxes, and hope nobody asks why the box is climbing stairs. Killing Floor 3 is for anyone who thinks subtle horror contains too little blood. Monsters enter, ammunition leaves.
In Unrailed 2: Back on Track, you build railway lines together and try not to end years of friendship over one badly placed track. Wild Assault offers fast PvP battles with animal fighters - much like a regular online shooter, except this time a fox may be yelling at you.
