GOG has another addition for the free-games library: Silence by Daedalic Entertainment is available at no cost for a limited time. Originally released in 2016, the adventure takes you to a fairy-tale world suspended between life and death.
The story follows sixteen-year-old Noah and his younger sister Renie, who seek shelter in a bunker during an air raid. Instead of merely finding safety, they reach the threshold of the mysterious world of Silence. When Renie becomes lost there, Noah must find her and help save a world scarred by war.
Silence is a story-heavy adventure focused on atmosphere, puzzles, characters, and hand-painted scenery. GOG lists versions for Windows, Linux, and macOS. As usual for GOG, the game is DRM-free and can be played without a permanent internet connection.
